THE LYCIAN TRADITION CURRICULUM

Introduction

This course is intended to give the aspiring Lycian Witch the essential elements needed to practice the Wiccan faith by means of the Lycian Tradition. The course was put together for those not living near a Lycian teacher, but should also be accomplished by members of the Lycian Craft who already have an instructor, in order to gain a fuller understanding of our Craft. There is no cost for the course itself, but there will be course materials and tools which must be acquired in order to complete the lessons and these will cost the student. The other materials can be purchased wherever they may be available, or convenient to the student.

This course of study can be accomplished on one's own in preparation to take the examinations necessary to be passed in order to be initiated into the Lycian Tradition of Wicca. Study of this material can be done alone or in a group setting; self-testing is encouraged in order to become comfortable with the process that will be followed with a qualified initiator.

The curriculum is divided into five sections, each section relating to a a different level of initiation in the Lycian Tradition. Each section contains "tasks" to be accomplished before initiation into the next higher level. The sections are as follows:

      1. Non-initiate.
      2. First Rite Initiate.
      3. Second Rite Initiate.
      4. Third Rite Initiate.
      5. Clergy.
