Who is Lucifer?

"In Roman astronomy, Lucifer was the name given to the morning star (the star we now know by another Roman name, Venus). The morning star appears in the heavens just before dawn, heralding the rising sun. The name derives from the Latin term lucem ferre, bringer, or bearer, of light."

On Nov 22, 1998, 60 Minutes aired a segment with Dr Kevorkian performing an assisted suicide for a man stricken with a debilitating disease. Kevorkian's goal in televising the procedure was a dare to legal entities to charge him with murder, and shake up our society's stalemate on a terminally ill person's right to choose to end their life.

I just watched the premiere, on the WB, of the new Spelling series, "Charmed." The premiere episode, for those of you who don't actually read the TV Guide, was titled "Something Wicca This Way Comes."

I'm home today and I just happened to have the tv set on while the "Leeza" show was on. They brought up a supposed controversy about a cover in the current Rolling Stone magazine.
